PA Salute To Seniors: Jalen Coriano-Nix - Cheltenham HS
What was your most memorable race/competition?
My last competition as a Cheltenham panther after the 4/4 at states just sitting in the middle of shippensburg field taking it all in and realizing we were state champions.
Where did you face your biggest competition?
The biggest competition was surprisingly at the Trojan track classic the 200 was completely loaded-my teammate Christian Brisset and rivals from wiss David Stellato and mike Harris as well as Tyrone leach from norristion
Out of all of your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
Being state champion in the 4/4 due to the fact that the 400 is not my event but when the team needed me I stepped up and ran a great leg at the state meet
If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your athletic career in high school?
I would change being injured my sophomore year as well as missing my junior year that really hurt me a lot
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
My hamstring injury that took me out for almost two years and injury like that is mental as well as physical
What will you miss the most?
I will miss my team we really were a family. We didn't get along all the time but our work ethic was unmatched and we'd all put everything on the line for each other
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Listen to the coach most of the PA coaches have years or experience take to a program work hard and success will come
How have your coaches influenced your performances and your life goals overall?
Yes coach Beale really helped change my life and helped me not only be a better athlete but a better man. he taught me in life no matter where you are if you put your all in something and have faith success will come.
What are your college plans?
I will running at Indiana University of Pennsylvania
