Vince McNally made quick work of the challenging 3.1 mile course at Coatesville High School.  He posted a 15:36.28 to finish 29 seconds ahead of Boyertown's Mark Dennin, 16:05.78.  McNally's plan was to race the downhills, and he gained a 10 meter lead on Dennin on the downhill approaching the mile mark.  Dennin caught up by the big uphill and they ran together through 2 miles.  At that point the downhill begins again and McNally pushed ahead and didn't glance back until about 500 meters to go, where he "didn't see anyone".    Tyler Jones finished 3rd in 16:23.68.  Coatesville won the meet for the 4th straight year, putting 3 runners in the top 15 to score 101 points.  Council Rock North was 2nd with 118 points.  In the girls race Heather Giovagnoli (in center of pack at .75 miles), Spring Ford, had the goal of a top-10 finish in mind at the beginning of the race, but then she found herself at the front of the pack with Rachel Wong and Elizabeth Simpson.  They passed each other back and forth on the uphill and then it was just Heather and Rachel on the downhill.  Heather went ahead of Rachel for good with 200 meters to go and won in a time of 19:31.40, beating out Northern's Rachel Wong by 5 seconds (19:36.73).  Elizabeth Simpson, Boyertown, was 3rd in the only other sub-20:00 time, with a 19:47.49.  Northern keeps their winning streak alive, scoring 79 points to beat Downingtown East by 10 points.  Northern put all 5 scoring runners in the top 30.

Coatesville four-peated at their home invite.
