Girls MileSplit All Americans: Walker, Wiltrout, Hinderliter, McCartney receive recognition!

Sarah Walker of Germantown Friends, Madison Wiltrout of Connellsville, Brooke Hinderliter of Redbank Valley, and Courtney McCartney of Selinsgrove were recognized by MileSplit as All Americans for the 2015 track season!

Walker was the runner up at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals 800 meter run, was the bronze medalist at the USATF Junior Championships in the same event, and recorded a handful of sub 2:09 performances, with her best being a 2:05.79 performance on June 13 in Cuba! She finished the year at US#8!

Wiltrout made history in May with her national record in the javelin! Her mark of 185-8 was four feet better than the previous record, and it was the first of three performances of 180 feet or better! She was 2nd at the Penn Relays in the javelin and she set a state meet record at the state meet before elbow surgery canceled her postseason plans. Her 185-8 mark finished top of the nation!

Hinderliter was the AA girls champion in the javelin with her seasonal best mark of 158-9. She recorded a mark of 150 feet or better in seven meet this season and came within one place of earning a top 6 medal at the New Balance Outdoor National meet! Her state meet winning mark finished the year at US#8.


McCartney makes this list for the 2nd year in a row after finishing 2014 at US#6. After battling some injuries in the early part of the spring, McCartney returned in the middle of the season and got back to the 49 foot mark and the US#6 spot for the 2nd year in a row! She finished the PA outdoor season unbeaten and reached a personal best of 49-5.75!
