Curtis High School's Devyn Keith, a 12-time Louisiana state champion now in his senior year, added a more historic accolade to his collection on Saturday morning by running the fastest three mile time in state history. His 14:30.8 to outdistance Eric Coston (14:34.2) of St. Paul's is a course record at Highland Park in Baton Rouge.

The St. Paul's Wolves won the title over the Curtis Patriots, 72 to 91 points.

Alicia Stamey of Episcopal and Olivia Murphy, also of Mandeville, also broke 18 minutes on the course, though it was the defending Class 5A state champions in St. Joseph's Academy who packed up to win the team title with 52 points.

Annie Hill led the charge for St. Joe's in fifth place (18:32.8), as the Redstickers packed together for a 50-second top five spread and 19:00 three mile average. The Mandeville Skippers were runners-up with 73 points.
