MONDAY/TUESDAY

Washington County

Nick Wolk of Peters Township continues to win races, earning his 4th victory in five meets this season. His latest victory earned him the gold medal of Washington County with a time of 15:59.4. His efforts up front were not enough to have his teammates join in the gold medal fun, as Canon-McMillan used a 38 second 1-5 spread to win the team title over Peters Township 36-76.

For the girls, Peters Township were a class above the rest, placing five of the top eight runners led by runner up Chloe Grzyb to defeat Canon-McMillan 26-57. Canon-McMillan did have the individual champion, as Morgan Grudi ran 19:19.3 to win the gold medal by 13 seconds.

AACA

Villa Joseph Marie showed the quality they had demonstrated all season long to be crowned the new champions of the AACA with 25 points! The top five finishers for the Jems were all 9th graders, and they were led by a 2-3-4 finish by Katie Irelan, Brianna King, and Caroline Brandt. The trio, however, were not strong enough to catch the winner and still AACA champion Emma Seifried of Country Day School of the Sacred Heart. Seifried defended her crown with a Class A leading and PA#3 17:54 to earn her first win of the season!

Berks County

Jack DiCintio of Wyomissing successfully defended his county championship with a time of 16:37 to win by 13 seconds over Jacob Underwood. Wilson fought off the 30 second spread of Twin Valley with two in the top five to win the county title 51-67.

For the girls, Alison Willingmyre of Wilson also defended her county title with a 30 second margin of victory, running 19:09. Her team, however, came up just a little bit short of winning the team title, as they were unable to overcome Governor Mifflin's 39 points and 41 second spread. Wilson missed the title by only 9 points.

Eastern PA Conference

Raisa Kochmaruk of Liberty completed step one of two on her quest to defend her league and district titles. The junior ran a season best 18:52 to remain to only EPC champion in the two year history of the realigned conference. The league did crown a new league champion, as Easton, led by runner up Diana Hammerstone, placed three in the top ten to win the team title over Stroudsburg 52-84.

For the boys, Kevin Lapsanksy of Easton kept the individual crown in his school, following Colin Abert's lead. Lapsansky ran 16:09 to hold off Seth Slavin of Pleasant Valley by 13 seconds. Parkland made up for last year's runner up finish by edging out Easton 42-51 for the team title this year thanks to a 45 second spread and four top ten finishers.

Ed Narkiewicz

Dominic Hockenbury of Lake Lehman is beginning to reap the benefits of all the hard mileage he's done since the summer that raised some eyebrows on some running blog circles. Hockenbury was dominant in his league title defense, running a lifetime best 15:34 to earn the PA#2 spot for 2015! Behind him, Jack Zardecki and Adam Borton finished 2-3 for Dallas, as they continued their sensational season with a league title win over Berwick 49-57.

Ally Rome of Dallas earned her first victory of the season with a time of 18:59 to win by 41 seconds over teammate Rebecca Balara. Their 1-2 finish led their team to a 40-72 team title win over previously undefeated Lake-Lehman.

Friends League

Nick Dahl of Germantown Friends equaled the Westtown course record, blazing to a solo season best of 15:48 to retain his league title. His teammates behind him completed another league meet sweep, taking the first five places to score 15 points and win another title.

In the girls race, Jerrica Bauer of George School won her 2nd league title with a time of 18:21 to win by a whopping 70 seconds. After missing the team title by 4 points last season, Friends Central topped Germantown Friends for the meet team title 34-39 with seven top 15 finishers.

Lancaster Lebanon

Nathan Henderson of JP McCaskey had a fierce challenge on his hands against Zach Lefever of Ephrata. Despite Lefever's strong efforts, Henderson defended his league title with a time of 15:47.8 to win by 11 seconds. Hempfield, meanwhile, had little competition on their way to the team title, as the Paul Short winners used a 60 second spread to score 52 points and win the title by 65.

For the girls, sophomore Jamie Zamrin of Cocalico went from 12th place last year to the league champion this year, running 19:19.9 to win by 9 seconds over Samantha Shields of Warwick, who improved by 31 places from last year's meet. Team title honors went to Manheim Township, who scored 78 points to win by 37 over Hempfield thanks to a 45 second spread.

AA state champions York Suburban overwhelmed their competition with a championship like performance. They scored 51 points to win by 84 with a 61 second spread and five finishers in the top 20.

For the girls, Kennard-Dale's Maddie Ferner won her 2nd meet of the season with a league title victory in 19:07 to survive the charges of Maddie McLain of Eastern York.
