That didn't take long.
Knoch's Jordan Geist wasted no time in his 2016 outdoor season breaking the state record in the shot put. Geist, who broke the indoor state record in the event this winter, added the outdoor record to his resume. Geist threw 71-9.25 to break Ron Semkiw's state record that has stood since 1972. Semkiw, who attended Baldwin, previously had the record with his throw of 70-1.75.
