AA Girls: Alexa Parks of Palisades continued her great season in the high jump, clearing a huge PR of 5-9 to take AA. That puts her at PA#3 and PA AA #2 behind Tyrone's Erika Voyzey. Parks can certainly provide a good test to Voyzey in what should be a great competition at Ship.

Tamaqua's Morgan Boyle won a pair of events, claiming firsts in the pole vault (10-0) and javelin (126-5).

Pine Grove's Maddie Frew was tops in the hurdles, winning both the 100 and 300 hurdles. She PR'd in the 300 with a time of 45.15 and was a runaway winner in the 100 hurdles in a time of 15.56 in the finals. She also added a second place in the triple jump with a best of 35-11.5.

In that triple jump, it was all Lindsay Bauer. The Salisbury senior jumped a PA#4 38-8, also a PR, to claim the win. Bauer also added a win in the long jump with a best of 17-10.5.

AA Boys: In a close 800, Notre Dame-East Stroudsburg's Mike Sheptuk edged out Marian Catholic's Dominic Mussoline for the win. Sheptuk ran a 1:57.42 to get the best of Mussoline, who ran 1:57.62.

Schuylkill Haven's Noah Fritz continued his solid season in the shot put, winning the district title with a best throw of 54-5.5, which is also a PR.

AAA Girls: Pocono Mountain East's Khyasi Caldwell-Adams is hitting her peak form at the right time. The reigning state champion in the long jump bettered her PR on Tuesday, jumping 19-6, also a PA#1, to take the win. She also added another individual district crown, winning the 400 meters.

In another great Lehigh Valley pole vault duel, Liberty's Rachel Finn got the best of Easton's Greer Gumbrecht. Finn cleared 12-6 in some wet conditions to grab the win. She'll shoot for the 13-foot mark at states next week. Gumbrecht took second with a 12-0 clearance.

Dieruff's Mahendra McWhite asserted her dominance in the hurdles winning both the 100 and 300 hurdle championships. McWhite clocked a 14.39 in the high hurdles for the win and a 44.60 for first in the 300 hurdles. She'll be a force to reckon with in a week at states in both events.

Make it three-for-three for Liberty junior Jaylyn Aminu. Aminu ran a 12.09, just off her season best, for the win in the 100 meters. That is her third district title in the event in three years.

Seven girls jumped over 36 feet in a competitive triple jump. In an all-Stroudsburg top three, Ayanna Burrell had the day's best jump with a 38-1.5. Tatiana Williams and Brittany Hewitt took second and third respectively.

In the javelin, Jim Thorpe's Autumn Cope edged out Brooke Cope in a close competition. Autumn took the win with a best throw of 131-0, while Brooke was second at 130-2.

In the girls' 1600, there was a mad dash to the line in one of the day's most exciting races. Allana Powlette of Stroudsburg took the win in 5:06.39 over Easton's Diana Hammerstone (5:07.14) and Zoe Geis (5:08.76).

Jenn Mickens of Pleasant Valley picked up the win in the 800. She ran a 2:16.13, which lowers her PR from EPCs the previous week. Taking second was Olivia Sahaydak of Liberty and Katie Thompson of Blue Mountain.

AAA Boys: The 1600 was a great race between three of the district's best distance runners. Parkland's Sam Morgan, Easton's Kevin Lapsansky, and Freedom's William Alpaugh were all together with 100 meters left. Morgan had the best kick in the end, winning in a big PR of 4:21.90. Lapsansky was second in 4:22.26 and Alpaugh took third in 4:22.77.

The day before, Lapsansky did win the 3200 in a time of 9:31.18 over Pleasant Valley's Seth Slavin, who ran a time of 9:35.86.

A week after clearing a PA#1 of 7-1 in the high jump, Notre Dame-Green Pond's Greg Lauray didn't have quite as good of a day, but the junior still walked away with a district championship. Lauray cleared 6-5 for the win and will look to next week at states to nab a state title.

Another PA#1 took home a district title. Stroudsburg's Mike Marsack took home first in the javelin, throwing 198-9. It was off his PR, but Marsack look ready for big things in a week at states, where he'll be the top seed in AAA.

The boys from Nazareth had a big day. Julian Liaci won both the 100 (11.01) and the 200 (22.47). Second place in both races was Jahan Dotson. But Dotson did pick up a win in the long jump, with a best of 23-0. Liaci and Dotson teamed up as part of Nazareth's winning 4x100 as well, which ran a PA#6 of 42.36.


Wilson's Joseph Espinal opted to focus on the 800 and he came away with a big win and PR. Espinal clocked a 1:55.67 for the district win, making himself a threat for next week's state meet. Whitehall's Calvin Schneck was second in 1:56.98.

Pocono Mountain West's Isaiah Wiggins won a tight competition in the boys' triple jump. Wiggins had a best of 46-6.5 to take the win over Jim Thorpe's Rayan Green, who jumped 45-11.5.
