Are we in for a great race here or what? Last week's District 1 200 meter final provided us with a taste, but anything can happen when a state title is on the line. At District 1, Pennridge's Kouri Peace pulled away from Cheltenham's Chanel Brissett and Pennsbury's Dasia Pressley to win the race in 23.91. But can the freshman do it again?

Peace proved to be the class of the field indoors, setting the indoor state record in the event. But she's dealing with the outdoor state record holder in Pressley, who won the state title in 23.52 last year, as well as the well-decorated Brissett. Peace is the favorite after a 23.60 earlier in the season and her win at District 1 but Pressley would love to close out her prep career on a high note. Brissett may be seen as a sleeper in this race (the only time you'll ever hear that), but you surely can't count her out.

Keep an eye out for Methacton's Caroline Duffy, Butler's Emily Horstman, and Cedar Cliff's Grace Gillespie among others in this field. If the weather's right, we could see plenty of fast times and maybe even some more history.
