Villa Maria's Claire Brown has made the decision to forgo the 1600 and come into the 800 fresh (besides a likely 800 leg in the Villa 4x800) and that should give her an important leg up against the field.

Quaker Valley's Hannah Bablak, the District 7 champion, should still give her a good race coming off the 1600. Her teammate, Bearett Tarris took second at District 7 with a nice PR. Tarris was fifth a year ago and would surely like to improve upon that.

Delco Christian's Maggie Linton, the District 1 champion, ran 2:15 earlier in the season and she'll be looking to get in the mix. Avonworth freshman Megan Wisniewski has the potential to make a big splash in her first state meet. Mifflinburg's Jillian Miller was an upset winner over Autumn Avery of Hughesville at District 4 and the pair should make a good run on Saturday.
