This race will be interesting for sure. Villa Maria's Claire Brown isn't entered in the field after a 5-flat win at District 10, leaving the door open for someone else. Jordan Williams of Sharon, who took second to Brown at districts is the next in line with a PA AA #2 of 5:03.47 from that race.

But we also the reigning state champion in this field in Quaker Valley's Hannah Bablak. Bablak is also running the 800, but the District 7 champ appears fit and ready to make a nice run at a big race this weekend.

Villa Maria's Melissa Ricci posted a huge PR en route to a third place finish at District 10, putting her in the conversation as well. Lexi Bible of Hickory was right there and should be a factor.

From District 1, we have Country Day of the Sacred Heart's Emma Seifried and Christopher Dock's Maddison Landis. Seifried won at districts, but Landis has run a PA AA #6 of 5:05 earlier in the season.
