It looked for a time like we'd get a classic District 1 vs. District 3 battle in the AAA 3200 meters. But Mady Clahane opted for the 1600 only. It still sets up for what should be a great race, though.

The top seed is Downingtown West's Aislinn Devlin. Devlin, who was third in the state a year ago, appears to be in the best track shape of her career. She PR'd to win the District 1 crown with a time of 10:28.38 last week, and she'll look to carry that momentum into this weekend.

Chambersburg's Abby Yourkavitch, on the heels of a fast 10:34.40 runner-up effort at District 3, will be a close contender. Pennsbury's Olivia Sargent will compete in the first of the her two events of the day here. Look for the senior to try and put a big exclamation point on her well-decorated career.

Dallas' Ally Rome is coming off a convincing win at District 2 off a double. Fresh and with competition, look for the Princeton recruit to finish up her high school career with a big race.

North Penn's Ariana Gardizy, Cheltenham's MaryGrace Rittler, Pennsbury's Hannah Molloy and Unionville's Kacie Breeding are part of a talented District 1 contingent that will look to take up a good chunk of the medal stand. North Allegheny's Clara Savchik picked up a nice win at District 7 and the sophomore should have a shot up front.
