North Penn comes in as the heavy favorites. The indoor state champions and indoor state record holders will have a hard time catching Central Bucks South's 8:51.49 PIAA record from 2014 with a few members of the relay running other events at states, but it will still be fun to see how fast they can go. North Penn won District 1 in 9:13, but they have gone 9:02 at the Penn Relays.

There was a mad dash to the line for some of the final District 1 state berths, and if you managed to make it out of Coatesville, there's a good chance you'll be walking away from Ship with a medal. Owen J. Roberts was the second place team behind North Penn, running a monster race. OJR, led by Allison Brunton should be a force to be reckon with at states.

Wilson, the District 3 champions, is another team to watch. They pulled out a 9:16 last weekend and this should be a contender this week. Mount Lebanon won District 7 last week in a 9:23 and they'll be looking for a high podium finish.

Great Valley, Strath Haven, Unionville, Pennsbury, Downingtown East, and Central Bucks East make up the group of District 1 teams that were separated by less than three seconds at districts over the weekend.
