Downingtown West's Josh Hoey will look to keep the 1600 title in the family. His brother Jaxson won the event last year, but Jaxson is only running the 800 this time around. The sophomore has been the state's top miler this season, and he's favored to take the win here.

Hoey won the Penn Relays High School mile over a stacked field and then took the District 1 title.

Seneca Valley's Mike Kolor will be the biggest test for Hoey. Kolor ran 4:13.23 to win his first District 7 title last week. He was fourth in the state last year and the Harvard-bound senior will look to go out in a special way.

State College's Alex Milligan is the third seed. He'll be focused primarily on his favored 4x800 team, but Milligan had proved how fit he is this season, and has the potential to pull off a big double.

Liam Conway of Owen J. Roberts, Eric Kennedy of Kiski, Liam Galligan of Springfield (Delco), East Pennsboro's Sam Signor, and North Allegheny's Jacob Stupak make up a crowded group of medal contenders. Expect a few surprises in this deep field.
