Boys' State Field Preview: Geist throws for history; Lauray leads HJ; Big jav throws expected

AA Boys' Triple Jump

New Brighton's Anthony Milliner will look to improve on a third place finish at states last year. The jumper is much improved this year after PR'ing at the MAC Championship with a best jump of 47-6.5.

Washington's Isaiah Robinson, a junior, should factor in as well. He was second to Milliner at District 7, and only really started triple jumping this season, but he'll have a good chance at a really high place.

Trinity Christian senior Tyler Carter, who soared past 47 feet last year to win the state championship, hasn't been hitting those distances yet this year. But Carter busted out a 3+ foot PR to win the state title in 2015 and maybe he has more magic saved up this year.

Keayon Williams of Milton, Alex White of Juniata, and Matt Siley of Palisades will also be in contention for medals.
