WATCH: PA#1 Carlisle and the Affolders Take Second at PTXC 8

After two weeks and two wins, the Carlisle boys have held onto their spot as the state's top team in the newly released Saucony Flo50 rankings. The Herd took second to a strong and deep Loudoun Valley team at PTXC 8, but proved that they have some strong depth after their top two---transfers Noah and Sam Affolder. Isaac Kole was a solid #3 runner, placing 11th, while Jack Wisner (27th) and Tyler Hallman (45th) rounded out the top five that scored 84 points to Loudoun Valley's 80.

Up front Noah Affolder commanded the race, pulling away around the halfway mark. Sam Affolder went out conservatively, but moved up throughout the race to take third. The season is still young, but Carlisle has lived up to the preseason hype so far.

A busy fall awaits The Herd with their home meet and a trip to Manhattan planned. Can they keep it up?
