CSU Run at the Rec #2 Preview
Some teams will return to Clarks Summit University for the second edition of the Run at the Rec.
James M. Coughlin's Vincent Todd is the top seed in the 55 meters. He's having a strong season thus far and the junior sits at PA#5 in the event. Todd is also entered in the 200 meters and he'll look to make some noise there as well.
North Pocono's Matt Slagus is entered in the boys' shot put. Slagus will look to make some moves in the state rankings in a very deep boys' shot put field.
In the girls' shot put, watch out for Lake Lehman's Emily Johns. Johns ranks PA#7 after a strong performance at Kutztown this past weekend. North Pocono's Jessica Slagus is also in the field.
Miazziah Rose of Pottsgrove is the favorite in the high jump. The junior put down a nice PR of 5-4 at last week's Wesner Invitational and she ranks sixth in PA.
In the distance events watch for Nicole and Tina Capparell of Marian Catholic in the 800 meters. Vanessa Paolella of Delaware Valley and Abby Corrigan of Holy Cross are also in the field. Tina Capparell, Paolella and Corrigan will also run the 1600 meters, along with Parkland's Sydney DelVecchio. Montroe's Hannah Perkins is the top seed in the 3000 meters.
