TSTCA Indoor Meet #4

BOYS

They are tied for the top spot in the state and Isaac Elliott and Journey Brown are scheduled to go head-to-head in the 60 meters at the final TSTCA meet before the championship meet. Elliott, an Ambridge Area senior, is also slated to run at Sunday's SPIRE Showcase, so we'll see if he pulls double duty this weekend. Meadville's Brown and Elliott have both run 6.87 this season. Elliott is also entered in the 400 meters along with PA#8 Ziggy Patterson of West Mifflin.

Taylor Allderdice's Noah Swaby has been strong all season in the hurdles and the senior returns to the 60 hurdles on Saturday. The PA#3 will be heavily favored there. Swaby also returns later as the top seed in the 200 meters.

Penn Hills' Isaiah Bailey is the top seed in the 800 meters, which also includes Freedom Area's Jarrett Boyd and Mount Lebanon's Bryce Brandenstein. In the mile, we'll see Boyd, Bradford's Logan Caruso, Indiana's Samuel Lenze, Taylor Allderdice's Amadou Diallo, and Mount Lebanon's Cameron PottsDiallo returns in the 3000 meters in a field led by South Fayette's Aaron Pfeil and Seneca Valley's Trey Razanauskas.

In the high jump, PA#5 Emmanuel Mitchell of Penn Hills will matchup with PA#10 Sven Rabshal of Laurel Highlands. In the pole vault, watch for the matchup between Hempfield's Hayden Fox and North Allegheny's Liam Nobbs. Watch for the top seeded Brown of Meadville in the long jump (PA#6) as he battles Upper Saint Clair's Harvey Kane (PA#14).

In the shot put, Hempfield's Alex Murray, currently PA#3, returns to the circle to face South Fayette's Sam Mastro and Bradford's John Eakin.

GIRLS

For what looks like the first time in their respective careers, the Robinson sisters---Hayden and Hunter---will race on the indoor track. The pair transferred last year from Georgia and made a big impact on the outdoor track scene this past fall. Now we'll get a glimpse of them indoors. They are both entered in the 60 meters and 200 meters as the top seeds in both.

Hunter Robinson is also entered in the 400 meters, where she'll face Butler's Alexis Leech and Hempfield's Gabby Holmberg. Holmberg is the top seed in the triple jump and she'll be one to watch there.

Bentworth's Brenna Cavanaugh will race Hempfield's Bailey Traczynski in the 60-meter hurdles. Traczynski is PA#6, while Cavanugh ranks PA#10 in the event. Cavanaugh is also entered entered in the 60 dash and the long jump (where she ranks sixth in the state).

We should see a good race in the mile. Vincentian Academy's Marianne Abdalah is the top seed, but Butler's Maggie Welty should be a good challenger. Greater Latrobe's Maria Cawoski is also in the field. Welty is also entered in the 800 meters along with Hempfield's Megan Powell.

Laurel Highlands' Casey Phelan is the top seed in the pole vault. She ranks fifth in PA with a best of 12-3. Also entered in Hempfield's Molly DeBone (currently PA#12). North East's Carlye Zahner is top seed in the high jump with a 5-3 from earlier in the season.

PA#4 Samantha Orie of Hempfield is the top seed in the shot put. Butler's Jena Reinheimer (PA#12) and Woodland Hills' Greta Brooks (PA#17) are also in the field.
