Bishop Shanahan's Nate Alleyne and St. Joseph's Prep's Miles Green were side-by-side down the home stretch and it was Alleyne who held off the charge from Green. Alleyne clocked a 48.21 to nip Green by just .03.
Alleyne returned later in the meet to help his Shanahan team to the win in the 4x200 and 4x400, along with the overall team championship. He spoke with us after the 400 meters:
