Stephen Scott is ready for big things this season.
The Souderton senior proved he's up to the task after a shining outdoor season debut at the PA Track Classic at Plymouth Whitemarsh this past Saturday. Scott swept the hurdle events, winning the 300 meter hurdles and then coming back to capture the finals of the 110 meter hurdles.
Scott, who was fifth at outdoor states in the 300 hurdles, ran 39.42 to run away from the field in the event (watch that race above!).
He then came back for the finals of the 110s and blasted a 14.73, a big PR, to win again. Scott said he benefitted from running the 60 meter hurdles more frequently during the indoor season for his improvement in the high hurdles on Saturday (watch that race below!)
After a big first week, Scott know sits at PA#1 in the 300 meter hurdles and PA#2 in the 110 meter hurdles, just behind Carlisle's Mychael Thomas. It's a sign of big things to come for Scott, who will certainly contend on the district and state level in both events this season.
