Lady Skins Invitational - Meet Preview

A number of girls' teams from District 1 and District 12, as well as some NJ teams will make the trip to Langhorne for Neshaminy's Lady Skins Invitational. Here's what we're watching for there:

Swenson's Jada Smith, who we've seen run some fast times in the sprints, will switch gears this weekend. Watch out for her in the 300 meter hurdles on Saturday, her debut in the event. Smith is also entered in the 400 meters, where she'll race the Baldwin School's Jennifer Dietrich, who is also the top seed in the 200 meters.

Abington's Kelly Jawork, who already has a sub-5 1600 meter time to her name this spring, will go after the 800 meters on Saturday. In the 3200 meters, watch out for Pennsbury's Mary Webb. Webb, who has battled injuries for the past year, is the top seed in the 8-lapper and we'll see where her fitness is at to open up her season.

Council Rock South's Elke Knecht is the top seed in the 100 meter hurdles. Look for Knecht to shoot up the state rankings after Saturday. Her teammate Emily Yemm will be the one to watch in the triple jump.

Abington's Sianni McLeod has had a good start to her season in the shot put. She'll look to throw over 40 feet this weekend, a distance she's been knocking on the door of to start the outdoor season. McLeod is also in the discus.

In the pole vault, Wissahickon's Cala Lejman will look to build off her recent PR of 11-6. She's favored to win on Saturday.
