Arctic Blast Invitational - Meet Preview

BOYS' PREVIEW

Opening up his season,  Zack Kuntz of Camp Hill is the top seed in the 110m and 300m hurdles this weekend. He will also be one to watch in the high jump where he will face competition from Bodhi Wilson of York Suburban, the top seed.

Also on the track, Camp Hill is poised to dominate both the 4x400m and 4x800m relays with their depth on Saturday. Nathan Lopez of Eastern York will try to go for a fast time in the open 800 this weekend.

In the throws, watch for Northern's Chris Barrett and Josh Barrett seeded 1-2 in the 
​javelin.​ Joe Razanno of Northern and Kaden Smith of Red Lion will both battle for the top spot in the boys triple jump.

GIRLS' PREVIEW

Gettysburg's Hannah Baddick is one to watch in the jumps. She is coming off a win in the triple jump at Tim Cook Invite, where she posted a jump of 36 feet even​. In the long Jump, Baddick will see some competition from Hannah Logue of Fairfield. In high jump, Mercedes Genesis of Gettysburg and Madison James of York Suburban will be trying to better their early season heights. Grace Tyson of York Suburban will be one to beat in the Pole Vault.

In the throws, Madisen Kling of Red Lion is looking to better her early season performances as the top seed in the Discuss and will also be throwing the Shot.

Maryland's Catoctin High School will be at the Arctic Blast Invite this weekend bringing some talent to the mid-distance events. Coming off a successful indoor season, Catoctin's Julien Webster will be leading the pack in the girl's mile. She will return in the 800 to race a pair of Northern runners, Kyra Gerber and Emma Fisler. Northern's mid-distance squad will most likely dominate the 4x800m relay as well.

On her home track, freshman Marlee Starliper of Northern will be setting the pace for the 2 mile. Maddie McLain of Eastern York will also be on to watch in that race.

In the sprints, Rowan Sessa of Middletown Area will look to post a fast time in the 300m Hurdles as the top seed. Moriah Logue of Fairfield i​s the top seed in the 100m hurdles.
