Delco Girls' Relay Carnival
The Penn Wood girls dominated the relays at Saturday's county relays carnival.
The Patriots dropped a PA#1 in the 4x800 meter relay, running 9:35.99 to take over the state lead with a great run. Penn Wood went 1:41.57 to win the 4x200 meter relay, which also breaks the meet record. Penn Wood ran a time of 4:05.98 to win the 4x400 meter relay. They also added wins in the 800 meter sprint medley relay (1:47.59) and 1600 meter sprint medley relay (4:02.01). That 4:02 is also a meet record.
Strath Haven went 12:19.44 in the DMR for the win, which is a PA#2 just off North Penn's state-leading time.
Cecilia Katcavage of Haverford won the shot put with a throw of 37-0.
