AAA Girls' 300m Hurdles Preview
Last year, Susquehanna Township's Yasmin Brooks ran away with the AAA title in the 300 meter hurdles, running an incredible 41.71. She'll be looking for a repeat performance this year. Her winning time at District 3 wasn't far off her 2016 winning time before her big drop at states. She comes in as the #2 seed, but she should still be looked at as the one to beat.
District 1 has a stacked group of girls in this field. Upper Dublin's Madison Langley-Walker was a runaway winner at Coatesville this past weekend. She improved in a number of areas this season, but particularly in the intermediate hurdles. She can challenge for this title. So can Plymouth Whitemarsh's Taylor O'Brien. She was second in District 1, but has the fastest season best in the entire field.
Conestoga Valley's Jane Livingston has been impressive. She comes in at PA#6 and took second to Brooks at District 3. Don't count out the sophomore here. In the WPIAL, Oakland Catholic's Jayla Ellis nipped Mount Lebanon's Molly Mangan at the line for PA#7 and PA#8 times. They'll be in the mix for the podium.
So will Cumberland Valley's Taylor Jede, Nazareth Academy's Lauren Powell, State College's Jordan Rohrbach, and Carlisle's Najae Nickerson
