AA Boys' 110m Hurdles Preview
Kane Area's Joseph Newton was eighth in this event last year, but after a big performance at the District 9 Championships, he's looked to as one of the favorites this season. Newtown blasted a AA best of 14.40 for the win last week and he'll look to convert that into state gold this weekend.
But Camp Hill's Zack Kuntz will be looking for that win as well. Kuntz is the top returner from last year's final, after taking fourth in that final. He looks ready to do it, too. He ran a PR of 14.57 to win the District 3 crown and should be in the mix.
A number of others are right at or below that 15 second mark. Bermudian Springs' Trevor Grim ran 14.79 this season and Carbondale's Marcos Ortiz went 14.96. It will likely take another sub-15 performance to take the title here. EL Meyers' Nazir Dunell, Union Area's James Thomas, West Catholic's Dajone Averett, and Penn Cambria's Kamryn Stoy are among the others that should factor into the race at Ship.
