What was your most memorable race/competition?

My most memorable race was definitely the PIAA track state championship for the 1600. It was my last opportunity to achieve the goal I've been working the whole year to accomplish, and it was to earn a state medal, and somehow, even after the 3200, I managed to get a PR of 4:22, 8th place, and a medal.

Where did you face your biggest competition?

I faced my biggest competition at the District 6 Championships, they were a great and competitive group of people to run against.

Out of all of your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?

Qualifying for the Indoor State Championships was what stood out to me because in order to get there,  I had to run a 4:32 mile, and I never broke 4:40 before until I ran at Youngstown University, where I ran a 4:29 and qualified for indoor states. Also, earning my first state medal in outdoor track was another accomplishment that stood out to me. Also, the accomplishment of improvement stands out because between this and last year,  I PR'ed by 19 seconds in the 1600 and 33 seconds in the 3200.

If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your athletic career in high school?

I would change the fact that I way over-trained my junior year.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

Balancing athletics and academics out was the most difficult obstacle to overcome.

What will you miss the most?

I will miss my MCXC crew and track team and all the great times we had.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?

Listen to your coaches and enjoy the experience. High school only lasts so long, enjoy high school track and cross country while you can.

How have your coaches influenced your performances and your life goals overall?

They were the ones who basically shaped me into the runner I am today.  I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for me.

What are your post-high school plans?

My future plans are to attend Saint Francis University and major in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Military Science. I will run both cross country and track there.

Shout-Outs?

Coach Bixel and Coach Regula for being awesome coaches.

My whole family for being so supportive throughout my career.

My whole XC, swim, and track teams for being there every step of the way.

Special shout-outs to Mike, Darius, Dave, Jordan B, Mike M, and Jordan W for being the best teammates anyone could ask for, and I wish the absolute best in your futures.
