The girls from State College Area will go for yet another District 6 crown in Class AAA, and it doesn't look like any teams will stand in the way of the Little Lions.
State College improved upon its fifth place finish at states in 2015 with a fifth place finish in 2016. That improvement came despite the team losing its top two runners from the previous year. State College loses two from last year's team, but returns a close pack of Gabbi Bock, Emma Simon, and Catherine Curtin. Expect another strong year from the Lions, as it will be in the hunt for another top five states finish or better.
While SCA is heavily favored, the battle for second will be a close one between McDowell, DuBois Area, Central Mountain, and Mifflin County.
