Southern Fulton won its third straight District 5 Class A title last fall, and this year it will go for #4. It will have to do so without last year's team leader Chase Varner, who graduated. But SF does return five of seven from last year's team. Rising junior Nate Voight (above), along with Dylan Ensor and Casey Spade will look to lead this team back to Hershey.
Looking to end Souther Fulton's streak is Windber Area, which returns its whole varsity squad from last season. Trenton Noon, the team's lone state qualifier from last year, will be the top runner to watch as Windber should have a good shot with some improvement to challenge for the one team qualifying spot.
Meyersdale Area is another squad with a shot at the title, but it does lose state qualifer Shane Yutzy from last year's third place team in D5-A.
