D4-A Girls - Team Breakdown

Troy emerged last season as the surprise team-to-beat last fall, and it didn't disappoint, coming away with a five point on Bloomsburg's course to take home the District 4 Class title and the lone state qualifying spot that comes with it.

Troy didn't do it with a frontrunner, though. Instead, it was a fairly tight pack (1-5 separated by 1:30) that was the difference maker for the champs. It returns all seven girls from that team that ended up placing 16th at the state meet. Senior Courtney Case and junior Katherine Polakowski will likely be the team leaders for Troy this fall.

Northeast Bradford will be looking to get back on top of District 4, though. After finishing just four points off Troy for the district title last year, this is ceratinly a hungry bunch. Only Karli Moyer went to states last year, and the senior will look to lead NEB to Hershey as a full squad this time around.

Loyalsock Township is a team on the rise we can't forget about. It was third last season, just 11 points off the title. Up front, Isabel Sagar, a Texas transfer, wasted no time letting her impact be felt, winning the individual title in runaway fashion. After her, Loyalsock returns five others from a young squad that you can't can't out.

Southern Columbia, Canton Area, and Warrior Run will be among the other teams that will hope to battle for the one state qualifying spot in D4-A.
