Team Breakdown: PIAA District 1 Girls

D1-A Girls - Team Breakdown

The girls from Country Day of the Sacred Heart added some strong depth last season, and it helped them not only to the District 1 Class A title, but a top five finish at the state meet. Emma Seifried won her third straight individual district title, and Kayleigh Doyle and Hannah Seifried took second and third.

Look for Sacred Heart to go for the district title again and contend on the state scene. It returns all five runners from last year, but it only had the minimum five runners last season. Sacred Heart will need to add some depth this season, but it looks to be the favorites.

Dock Mennonite, the 2015 district champs, brings back its top three. If a frontrunner can emerge, Dock could challenge Sacred Heart for the team title. Saint Basil's also has a solid amount of returners that could put it in the conversation come postseason time.
