Individuals Breakdown: District 12 Girls

D12-AAA Girls - Individuals Breakdown

En route to winning the PIAA title, the Cardinal O'Hara girls put on yet another dominant display at the Philadelphia Catholic League and District 12 Championships. Two-time PCL and three-time D12 Olivia Arizin is off to Georgetown, but O'Hara returns four of the district's top five returners to the trails this season.

Look for Elizabeth Mancini, Eleanor Mancini, and Christine Mancini to make a big impact this season. Elizabeth had a terrific postseason last fall that culminated with a 19th place finish and state medal at Hershey. She'll look to add another medal this season. Eleanor was the only one of the sister's to go sub-19 last season, running 18:49 at Paul Short. Christine ran 19:00 flat at Paul Short last fall, and also has great speed, running 2:12 in the 800 meters this past spring. O'Hara also has Katie Till back, who was eighth at districts last fall as a freshman.

Another impressive freshman last year was Little Flower's Olivia Pisacano, who took seventh at districts. Central senior Emma Helstrom, and the Archbishop Wood duo of Shannon Kelly and Casey Ems will also be among the ones to watch. While O'Hara are the team favorites, there are five open individual spots for the taking.
