Before Mykala Perry was turning into a star state medalist on the track in the sprints, the freshman was already a District 12 champ. Perry dominated the Class A field last fall, winning the district title by well over a full minute, running 22:16 for the win.
Science Leadership Academy's Krystal Cabrera was third at districts as a freshman. She'll be without SLA teammate Ella Petersen this season, but look for Cabrera to make a return to the state meet this season. Other top returners include Science Leadership Academy at Beeber's Jacqueline Shepherd, Motivation's Armani Kelly, and Conwell-Egan's Jaclyn Martello.
