Sweet Matchups Await The PIAA Foundation Invitational In Chocolate World

PIAA Foundation Invitational - Boys' White Race (1A) Preview

Winchester Thurston's Tristan Forsythe started his season off well with a win at Red, White & Blue. His team also captured the win. And both will be favorites to take the White Race on Saturday at Foundation.

Forsythe and Winchester Thurston (PA-A#1) beat out a strong field of 1A and 2A teams at Schenley Park, so look for a strong effort again this weekend. Along with Forsythe, WT will turn to Gordon Pollock and Scott Routledge to post strong performances.

Any teams that could challenge the reigning 1A state champs? Maybe Penns Valley Area (PA-A#4), which opened up with an impressive win at Big Valley a few weeks back. Led by senior Chris Colwell and freshman up-and-comers Colton Sands and Brendan Colwell, PVA might have a winning formula. Saturday will be a good test.

Then we've got PA-A#5 Jenkintown making the trip to Hershey. Led by Jack Miller, who took second at Mill Street, this is a talented team. Joshua Jackson and Patrick Wagner will be key pieces to this team's hopes of a win on Saturday.

A pair of talented sophomores---Juniata's Garrett Baublitz and Holy Cross's Andrew Healey are also in the field. Elk Lake's Peyton Jones and Serra Catholic's Lukas Dunaway make up the rest of the top ten hopefuls in this deep field.
