Paul Short Run - Boys' White Race Preview
The battle for the White Race should be interesting and could come down to the wire just like last year.
Holy Cross's Andrew Healey has been one of the state's top sophomores. He was second at Hershey this past week and should be strong again this week.
Jenkintown's Jack Miller is in the midst of a very strong start to his season and he'll look to keep that rolling on the District 1 course on Friday. Miller took third in the White Race at the PIAA Foundation Invitational and will look to keep that success rolling into Saturday.
Ridley's Zack Forney has earned a pair of top three finishes to start his season and should be a factor on Saturday. Williamsport's Tyler Holcomb, Malvern Prep's Peter Borger, and Upper Perkiomen's Cameron Junk are also included in this open field.
A few out-of-staters will look to take the win, though. Monroe-Woodbury's Mike Hannon will be coming from NY hoping to claim the title. From NJ, Union Catholic's Andre Rodriguez should be strong up near the front.
The team race could come down to some out-of-state teams as well. NY's Monroe-Woodbury and Cornwall should figure into the conversation and then NJ's Union Catholic and Peddie School could as well. From PA, look for Pope John Paul II and Saint Joseph's Prep to get in the mix.
