Mackenzie Horn Clears PA#2 All-Time In Pole Vault

Mackenzie Horn of Manheim Township moved up to No. 2 all-time in Pennsylvania history in the pole vault. The senior jumped 13 feet, 6 inches at a dual meet on Monday afternoon against Conestoga Valley in Lancaster.

Horn's vault is just an inch off the Pennsylvania state record, which was set last year by Katie Jones of South Williamsport, who cleared 13-07 at the PIAA District 4 Championships. Horn and Jones were club teammates at VaultWorX.

Monday's performance also moves Horn up to PA#1 and US#4 currently. Horn's previous best stood at 13-3 from the indoor season, though her outdoor PR was 12-7 was early April's Bruce Dallas Invitational. She was the indoor state champion this past winter.
