During the month of August, PennTrackXC is giving you wall-to-wall coverage of the upcoming cross country season! We'll be going through each district, previewing the top teams and individuals. We will be starting with a look at the team battles and then moving on to individuals in the second half of the month.

The District 5 Championships will feature one fewer race this fall as its AA classification will compete at with the District 6 teams. What's left is a girls and boys 1A race for one state qualifying spot. The defending champs -- Southern Fulton (girls) and Windber Area (boys) -- will aim for repeat district titles, but each will be challenged for the top spot.
