Pennsylvania XC Week 3 Meets On Tap

Kiski Invitational - Meet Preview

GIRLSThe Central Cambria girls saw a big opening week performance at the Red, White & Blue Classic. The Red Devils, a AA squad, will look to keep it rolling into Saturday. Led by freshman Stella Kuntz and senior Paige Wess, Central Cambria will be a tough team to beat at Kiski. Mount Lebanon, Pine-Richland, Marion Center Area, and Peters Township are among the other teams that will hope to challenge CC.

Individually, Kuntz and Wess will be the ones to beat after running mid-19s at Schenley Park last week. Marion Center's MacKenzie Walker, Knoch's Sammy Jo Barnes, and Mount Lebanon's Aoife-Ruby Dunne are among the other individual contenders in the field

BOYS: Patrick Anderson has had a strong start to his season, winning at Cal U and placing fourth. The PA#7 individual and leader of the PA#5 team will shoot for another big week. Anderson, along with Mount Lebanon teammates Peter Cosentino and Alex Brokaw, should be ones to watch at Kiski.

Peters Township's Zach Marmol, Greater Latrobe breakthrough Justin Carlson, and the Indiana Area duo of Kendall Branan and Joey Bujdos will also contend for high finishes. Mount Lebanon is the clear team favorite, but Indiana Area and Central Cambria, two of the state's top AA teams, should be strong.
