Lebanon Valley College To Host High School Indoor T&F Invitational Saturday

ANNVILLE, Pa. - Forty-four high school teams and 809 student-athletes, headlined by defending PIAA AA boys' champion Bishop McDevitt and runners-up Milton Hershey, will compete in the Lebanon Valley College High School Indoor Invitational Saturday at the Arnold Sports Center Arena.

Admission is free for the meet, which will begin with throwing events at 9:00 a.m. and track events at 9:30 a.m. Results will be available Saturday on the official web site of Lebanon Valley College athletics, GoDutchmen.com.

Five of Lebanon County's six track programs will compete (Annville-Cleona, Cedar Crest, Lebanon, Northern Lebanon, and Palmyra), and dozens of other schools from District 3 and beyond will visit LVC.

Four event champions from the 2009 meet will compete again, including Seth Robbins, who set the ASC Arena record with a 9:40.4 win in the 3,000-meter run. Elizabethtown's Annie Romanauskas will defend her 55-meter dash title (7.67) and teammate Audrey Bamford will do likewise in the 55-hurdles (9.55). Milton Hershey's Stephanie Johnson will try to win the 400-meter dash again (1:03.11). Wilson's Shane Whitmyer, who did not compete in last year's meet, is back after setting the arena long jump record in 2008 at 23-3 3/4 feet.
