Running in the elite 400m, West Catholic senior Nicole Leach ran a US#1 53.48 400m. Leach finished 2nd between two Olympians. Jamaica's Ronetta Smith of LSU won the race in 53.34, with a charging Leva Zunda of Latvia 3rd in 53.53. The Conestoga girls' 4x400 won in 4:03.67, improving on their PA#2. Conestoga also took 2nd in the 4x800 in 9:39.26. The Chester girls were 3rd in the 1600 SMR in 4:31.60, and 5th in the 4x200 in 1:48.64. Their Triple Jump Relay combined for 64-09.50, while the Conestoga tandem was 2nd in the High Jump Relay at 9-08. The Conestoga boys went 3:38.00 for 6th in the 4x4000 and 8:51.04 for 6th in the 4x800.
