Freshmen made an immediate impact for both the boys and girls in this meet. In fact, it was quite an underclassmen race at the front as only one senior cracked that in each race. Baldwin had been rumored to be the intended destination for highly touted homeschooler George Kelly. He would run 4th for the team, and that was with his 5th place finish in 17:40, 33 seconds behind teammate Bobby Bishop, who went 17:07. Andrew Kuchta was 2nd in 17:27 and Paul DeGregorio was 4th in 17:35. Baldwin totalled just 20 points to win by 69.

In the girls race, Norwin's junior Jenna Kuhn took home top honors, going 21:05. But just 25 seconds back in 21:30 was frosh Sara Strittmatter of host Gatway. Norwin's Autumn Greba ran second for the victorious Norwin team, taking 5th in 21:39. Norwin tallied just 45 points.
