BEAVER FALLS, Pa. (Sept. 1) – Freshman Jonathan Blatt got his collegiate running career off to a good start by leading the Waynesburg University men's cross country team at a tri-meet with Geneva and Thiel on Wednesday.
Blatt led the Yellow Jackets with a team-best eighth place finish (18:19) at the race, which was hosted by Geneva. Junior Kam Schaefer turned in the next best time on the team by crossing the finish line in 18:37. Freshman Justin Angoti finished closely behind with a time of 18:40.
The Jacket men placed third out of three teams at the event and return to competition on Saturday, Sept. 4, when they head to Greensburg to take part in the SHU Griffin Classic, which is hosted by Seton Hill.
