3/26-Coatesville boys & girls dominate both on the track and off @ Phoenix Relays

The Coatesville boys made themselves known at the Phonenix Relays on 3/26 with a strong beginning to their outdoor season. The boys from Cville won the 4x100 in 43.39, the 4x200 in 1:33.10, the 4x400 in 3:24.58, the shuttle hurdles in 1:03.79, and the 4xMile in 18:42.99, anchored by Amin Garnet in an official 4:27. Off the track, they also picked up the Shot Put competiton when thrower Ben Thompson reportedly threw the shot out of the pit, as well as the triple jump relay backed by TJ phenom Clarence Smith. They had to settle for second in the DMR after Downingtown East pulled away in 10:46.77. W.C. Henderson picked up the SMR in a quick 3:43.79.

The Coatesville girls attempted to match the boys performance with some incredible marks of their own. They won the 4x100 in 50.21, and the shuttle hurdle in 1:10.90. They took second in the 4x200 as well as the 4xMile. But the outstanding coatesville performance was from the lady throwers, who won the Discus in 223\'7\", outthrowing the next finisher by 35\' and also picking up the Shot Put relay in 77\'2\", almost 17\' ahead of the next finisher. The girls also took 2nd in the javelin relay. Perk Valley girls took the 4x800 in 10:09.13 as well as 2nd in the DMR. W.C. Henderson girls took the 4x200 in 1:45.30 as well as the 4xMile and the 4x400. They settled for 2nd in both the 4x100 and the 4x800.
