The race, which is at the site of the 2010 NCAA Mideast Regionals, was the biggest field the Jackets had competed in thus far in the young season. The race featured 17 teams, three of which are ranked in the top 25 in the NCAA weekly poll.

Standouts on the day were senior captain Adam Swingle, who placed 59th with a 28:47. Swingle was followed up by two freshmen, Jon Blatt and Justin Angotti, who finished in 69th (29:08) and 75th (29:19), respectively.

The young Jacket squad had three personal bests on the morning with the first coming from freshman Aaron Anderson, who continues to improve each week. he finished with a time of 30:19. Seniors Ben Fortna, who competed most of the season with a knee injury, and Sean Dougherty both ran personal bests on the hilly 8k course.
