You do a great job and it's worth every penny. We would be lost without PennTrack!
yeah that is why every other milesplit.us state is free to view races, runner profiles, and rankings. It makes no sense that we are the only state that has to pay.
@
tmurphyxc The Top 10 Milesplit states are subscription... so you get what you pay for. Please tell me where you would get this consolidated coverage for any price.
Just don't tell us to contact meet directors for results that don't get posted. That's what we pay you to do.
the penntrack team does more than a great job......we really your efforts.
yikes........that would be APPRECIATE your efforts!!

@rnicklas
No, we pay for access to a site. The site compiles results but it it up to meets as to whether or not they want to utilize the site. I don't blame Don or anyone else if results aren't posted because meets haven't submitted them. I don't believe Don and the small crew that he has available have the time to go chasing meet directors down for results. They are often too busy formatting, uploading, and doing interviews.
I subscribe to help support the tremendous
amount of time and effort needed to bring
Penn Track to those of us who love the sports
of XC and T&F. I am always more than happy to
be helpful if they need anything from my area.
My subscription is an appreciation for everything
they do.
I'm not going to lie and say I wanted to pay for this site. I've gotten spoiled by some much free info on the web over the years. However the benefits of having so much information in one place made paying very much worth it. Everyone loves free but many things are not free but still worth paying for. Penn track is one of those things in my mind now.
What would you do if Penntrack wasn't on the web? Think about how much information is provided on this site and where coaches, athletes and parents would be without it. Obviously free is better than having to pay, but you have to look at what you get in return. Just having the various links and results available in a short period of time makes it worthwhile. Personally I love seeing what other high school and college teams have done around the state and country. It would be too time consuming to search around for this information if it wasn't readily available. As a few of my runners often say, "Penntrackxc.com is my homepage."
Enough said!
Thanks! We appreciate the support.
And this year, thanks to over ten years of making friends and traveling to all parts of the state, we were able to post results from all but TWO meets we had on our calendar. And we had to "chase" very few results.
What's more, we are now converting and posting performances for every race, including Junior Varsity. Very cool, and unprecedented.
See you in Hershey.
Great job. I live on that website.
Could not do without. So much information there. Just love it.

Last track season some folks complained that novice results were not being posted on the site. The response from a PTXC Site Administrator was "Ask meet management to send us results"
It seemed to me at the time (and still does) that requests for additional results from meet directors should come from milesplit sites that post results. Sorry if that is out of line; to me it is logical.
Keep up the good work.Fees are worth every penny!!

To entice more people to subscribe, consider a trial membership of 10.00 for a 3 month time frame. I would bet that once they were able to access all of the information offered here they would not walk away at the end of those 3 months, but become a full subscriber. This site is the only track and cross country site that is actually worth subscribing to IMHO. I also subscribe to Running Times, which has terrific technical information for distance runners, but if I could only have one, as a coach and a fan of High School track and cross country this is definitely where my money would go. This is the kind of information a coach needs to see how his athletes measure up to the competition not only in his general area but across the state. Student athletes in our sports need to be a student of their event and not just run it. This is the ideal place for that learning process to begin.
Support this effort by becoming a member. We have something special here and we do not want to let it slip away because of a 36 dollar, .10 a day, subscription fee.
The Penn XC site is a bargain and the best of all the other similar state sites. The information and other features present on this site are a bargain. I have not seen a better bargain for track information than this site.

PenntrackBro21 Our traffic is up by 15% over last year. And where are they getting all these results for their team - probably from us. No worries there, but this was built on over a decade of traveling around PA and making friends and building connections. We only missed results from two meets all season. Seven years ago, that would have been 5 or more a week. So what would you prefer, no results in one place, no coverage, no rankings. Who is going to compile all this, week after week?
