On Monday, Overbrook grad Ceaira Brown was the top qualifier in the prelims of the YW's 800, going 2:14.71. On Wednesday, Schuylkill Valley's Jason Coon won the YM Shot Put with a 55-11 effort. Also on Wednesday, Todd Townsend of West Catholic, was 3rd in the YM 400 Hurdles in 53.51; Trayon Williams (Philadelphia), and Deondray Ivey of the Phil HS for Business & Technology went 4-5 in the 2000m Steeplechase in 6:38.62 and 6:40.69, respectively; and Swenson's Haneef Hardy captured 5th in the YM 800 in 1:52.89. On Thursday, Mercerburg Academy's Sarah Firestone captured the YW Javelin with a toss of 138-10. On Friday, rising sophomore Eric Jones of West Catholic was 17th in the prelims of the 400 in 49.96.
