I ran even-steven baby,…Josi's sense of pace is back in business! Felt loose, which was the point…I have a 3k training race on Thursday.
I am the kind of person who gains confidence through good workouts and good races…And also one who loses confidence if a race goes badly. My track workout went well today, so I know that I am in good shape, I just have to gain that tolerance to pain back when I am racing! Mental, mental, mental. I have to work on that head stuff when I race. I just didn't FIGHT in my first 5k. But that is behind me and I am looking ahead. We are not really preparing for the 3k on Thursday…obviously because of this workout…But it is still going to be a good exercise for me to get my head back into racing gear and suffering gear. What made me tough, was that I WAS willing to hurt more than anyone else… Now I have to work to get that willingness back. I felt like in my race I just "settled" and just didn't fight…A bit complacent!!! But that won't happen to me again this season. I WON'T be a mental wuss!
NEXT: May 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 – We're in this running thing together...
