Senior Isaac Davis (Jersey Shore) in AAA ran a 9:24 3200 earlier in the year and won his district 3200 (4-AAA)but did not race in Shippensburg. Did he get injured? Also any idea on Josh Hoey (senior, Bishop Shanahan 800m #1 in the US) passing on PIAA states and running in Boston the weekend of the D1 meet? Just a curious distance fan here...

Josh Hoey was part of the 4x4 that won boys AAA. Don't know why he didn't run the 800m open.

@jpschnck He could not run in any other race in the State meet, but the relay as he skipped running at the District Meet / State Qualifier in order to run against the pros in Boston. He could run in the relay because he was listed as one of the 6 runners for Bishop Shannahan eligible to run in the 1600m Relay at State. He could have run at Districts and State in possibly the 3200mr 1600m and 800m and 1600mr possibly winning both of the individual events.

@mschwartzusatf Seems not worth it. He'll have ample opportunity to run at the next level, but when high school is over, it's over. It's a little like the kids who pass on playing for their high school in some sports to play for "club" teams. Kind of a sad trend, I think.
