Radnor Races the \"DelCo\'s:\" SATs, a Smart Coach, and a big Team Win Hannah Granger Oct 21, 2006

...if you think Hilton is history. In the last two close races that the Hilton girls have won, they were actually losing at the 2.5 miles mark, and only in the last part of the race did their #5 runner, Sarah Ritchie, explode and pass so many runners from the other team that they won in the end. They have shown that they are true full course Cross Country runners, 5K, and seemed to be at a disadvantage against the SE teams on the 2.5 mile course at Manhattan. They\'ll be back, believe me. 10/14 WKND: Springer-Seymour shine, Germtwn Fr top PA team in NY|Radnor & Haven win|Tennent DQs Don Rich Oct 12, 2006

10/14 WEEK #7 SUMMARY: Carly Seymour and Paul Springer run big-time races at the MANHATTAN INVITATIONAL, where Germantown Friends was the top PA boys team. Hatboro-Horsham\'s Dan Hibbs won one of the Varsity races. At the DELCO CHAMPIONSHIPS at Rose Tree Park, the Strath Haven boys won their first-ever team title. Radnor survived a fall from one of their top five to win the girls race comfortably. General McLane swept the team titles at the ROCKY GROVE INV. Even without Katherine Ward, the State College girls defended their home course in the STATE COLLEGE INV, taking five of the top 12 places. The Lions also captured the boys\' race with just 22 points 2-3-4-5 finishes. A little controversy at the WILLIAM TENNENT INV ended with three DQs in the girls varsity race... but there was a positive story in all this. Upper Dublin won both team titles. At Thursday\'s MINGO CLASSIC, Gateway was the team champ for both boys and girls.
