Neshaminy invitational
Dear Coach,
The coaching staff of Neshaminy High Schools would like to extend to you and your team our invitation to attend the Neshaminy Invitational. The meet will be held on Saturday May 2nd, 2015 at the Harry Franks Stadium on the campus of Neshaminy High School. This is a boys only meet.
We will be allowing each school to enter two athletes per event, and two relays per relay event. spikes will be allowed on all of our surfaces with the exception of the throwing circles. Javelin cleats of or less will be acceptable. Starting blocks will be provided at the start of all sprint and sprint relay events. In all of the throws and horizontal jumps a minimum mark will be used after the first round. Premium Medals will be furnished for first through third places in each event.
The Meet will have four new events this year (Novice 1600 Run, Novice 3200 Run, Novice 1600 Relay and a Novice 3200 Relay). The entries for Novice 1600 Run and a Novice 3200 Run will be entered online. Entries for the Novice 1600m Relay and a Novice 3200m Relay will be entered and seeded by 3 x 5 cards on Saturday.
If you do not enter the novice division, you will not be able to enter the novice 1600 run & novice 3200 run.
A "novice" is an athlete that has not placed in a varsity event. We are Ok with entering athletes of any grade as long as they are not varsity athletes.
Athletes running a novice event may only compete in the other novice events.
The Meet will begin at 1:00pm with a coaches meeting, events will start at 1:30pm. COACHES WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENTERING ALL ATHLETES ON-LINE AT PENNTRACKXC.COM. Log on to PennTrackXC and click on the Neshaminy Invitational link that is found in the schedule pull-down. The entry deadline is Friday May 1st at 8:00am.
We will need a coach from each team to help officiate an event. We will be using a FinishLynx automatic timing system so we will not need timers for the meet. Please include the name of the coach who will be officiating, and their preferred job.
Enclosed you will find a time schedule, and a meet registration form. The cost for this years meet will be $150.00 per team. Checks are to be made payable to Neshaminy High School.
