WAADA Middle School Cross Country Championships
Participating Schools: McKeesport, Indiana, Greensburg Salem, Norwin, Greensburg Central Catholic, Penn Trafford, Hempfield, Kiski, Latrobe, Plum, Gateway, Franklin Regional, and Connellsville.
Location: White Oak Park, 2621 McClintock Road, White Oak, PA 15131. Check-in, packet pick-up, and the awards ceremony will be held at Magnolia Grove Pavilion.
Parking: Parking will be in the Cedar I, II, & III Groves, and Magnolia Grove parking lots. Bus drop-off will be at the Magnolia Grove.
Date and Time: Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018, Course walk will begin at 2:00 pm. Girls Championship Race starts at 3:00 pm, Boys Championship Race starts at 3:30 pm. Open Girls Race starts at 4:00 pm. Open Boys Race starts at 4:30 pm. Awards presentation is at 5:00 pm.
Course: 3K (1.864 mile) course on grass. Spikes are permitted.
Individual Awards: Top 25 finishers in the Boys & Girls Championship races receive medals. Top 10 Boys & Girls in the Open Races receive medals.
Team Scoring: Only 7 runners are permitted for each school in each Championship race with the top 5 counting for scoring.
Team Awards: Top 2 teams in each Championship Race will be awarded a trophy.
Timing and Results: Team and Individual results will be posted on the Miles for Smiles website at smileymiles.com, and on the PennTrackXCs website at pa.milesplit.com. Please email rosters in one Excel Spreadsheet to mbacco@mckasd.net.
Concessions: Championship T-Shirts will be for sale for $10.00, and drinks & snacks will be for sale also.
Entry Fees: $150.00 per school. $20.00 per individual for schools with incomplete teams. Checks are to be made payable to McKeesport Tigers Cross Country.
