Unionville narrowly swept the teams titles over Great Valley at the 10/19 Southern Chester County League meet at Nottingham Park. -

If Nicole Smith is the star of many events, her understudy is Erin Hannon of Bradford. And don\'t get used to the high 60\'s in the shot put. It\'s rare, and so is this athlete, Ryan Whiting. -
2/12-Dave Mock 8th, Frances Koons 13th in JR races @ USATF XC Champs
Former PA XC AAA state champs Dave Mock (Westmont Hilltop) and Frances Koons (Allentown Central Catholic) finished with the elite of the USATF XC juniors. Mock captured 8th in 25:59.8 for the 8km Junior Men\'s race, while Koons was 13th in the Junior Women\'s 6km race at the USATF Cross Country Championships, running 22:58. Former Haverford runner and Olympian Shayne Culpepper was 2nd in the Open Women\'s 4km in 13:27.0, while former Great Valley star Mark Stallings was 26th in the Open Men\'s 12km race in 39:15.7. -
2/4-Penncrest frosh Karen Shump throws US#6 Shot Put @ DVGTCA Meet #8 @ Kutztown University
Penncrest\'s Karen Shump had thrown over 40\' twice in this, her first season of high school competition. But a PR of 2\' 5-1/2\" is huge. -
1/28-Queen continues to tear through 55 Hurdles with win @ TFCAGP D2 #8 @ Kutztown
The 55 hurdles and the 200m were the hot events of the day. Chichester\'s Carrington Queen took the hurdles in a blazing 7.5, and Conwell Egan\'s Steve Slaton held off the closing speed of Penncrest\'s Andrew McCloskey, with both men going 23.2. Penncrest\'s Mike Morganti had more success in the shot put, continuing his undefeated streak in league competition with a throw of 51-05. -

Steve Slaton made a huge impact at Lehigh the TFCAGP D2 Meet. Penn Charter\'s Kamal Marrel ran a quick 60m Hurdles. In the long jump Steve Henkelman took the win. Germantown Academy posted a fast 4x800. Penncrest\'s Mike Morganti won the shot. And Bill Lordan of Great Valley ran a 9:10.8 3000-meter for the victory. -

1/10-Ryan Fritz has PA indoor state High Jump record alone-7-00.25 @ Chester County Champs@Ursinus
Two days after tying the Indoor State Record iin the High Jump, Octorara senior Ryan Fritz has it all to himself, after clearing a PR 7-00.25 at the Chester Countyi Championships Monday evening Jan 10 at Ursinus College. But there were a lot more great performances, as well... -
1/7-Janessa Murphy tops in state in LJ - West Catholic wins 4x800 @ DVGTCA #5 @ Lehigh
Great Valley senior Janessa Murphy is hitting her stride this indoor, taking the state lead in the Long Jump and also winning the 55 Dash. Krista Simkins went 25.5 to win the 200. Frosh Ryann Krais won again. West Catholic, behind dual 2:22\'s from Nicole Leach and Latavia Thomas, ran 9:48.1 to win the 4x800. And Frosh Karen Shump put the shot 39-00.
